Renew the Canoe

Junior Black Campers are and have been extremely excited about the Renew The Canoe project.

During this video, the Campers creatively designed how they wanted the canoe to be renewed. They each took turns pitching their ideas to one another. After careful deliberation, they voted on the best idea.

Now it was time to put the pedal to the metal (literally). We went over safety rules and how to conduct themselves as we renew – hence, the safety suits, goggles, gloves, etc.

We were up against time and weather, but the campers were determined to start cleaning and prepping the canoe! Their deadline is January 25th, when they will next meet. After the completion of the restoration, they will have a canoe launch and a first dip. Let's give it up for JBC as they continue on their journey with Renew The Canoe!
